In the 1960s, artist Jean Cocteau spent several years in Marbella, enjoying its climate, its beaches and its hectic social life. Piedras preciosas imagines the relationship between Cocteau and Manuel, a young flamenco dancer, showing their mutual learning and the special affection they professed to one another.
